Ruger Introduces New Model Single Six® Hunter Convertible in .17 Mach 2™ & .17 HMR

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR), the nation's largest firearms manufacturer, is proud to introduce the Ruger® New Model Single Six® Hunter Convertible single-action revolver with two cylinders chambered in .17 HMR and the new .17 Mach 2™ rimfire cartridges.

"The new .17 caliber New Model Single Six Hunter Convertible is certain to be popular among varmint hunters and target shooters alike," said Sturm, Ruger Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Chris Killoy. "In 2004, we introduced the New Model Single Six Hunter in .17HMR, a powerful, flat-shooting small bore rimfire cartridge. The additional cylinder chambered in the new, more economical .17 Mach 2 cartridge now provides shooters the ability to choose the right .17 for the job."

The Ruger New Model Single Six Hunter Convertible is a six-shot stainless steel single-action revolver based upon the highly successful Ruger New Model Single Six* and includes two cylinders, which can be changed without the use of tools. It features a target-crowned, ribbed barrel machined to accept a pair of medium height, stainless Ruger scope rings, which are included at no extra charge. The New Model Single Six Hunter's unique integral barrel rib also allows shooters to solidly attach .22 tip-off type optical accessories. Additional features include a rifle-style gold bead front sight and V-notch rear sight for precise target acquisition, brushed stainless steel construction, and black laminated-wood grip panels with black Ruger eagle medallions.
