Team Ruger Dominates the Competition So Far in 2024

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is pleased to share that Team Ruger has dominated competitions so far this year, achieving numerous top finishes competing with their rugged, reliable firearms from Ruger. So far in 2024, Team Ruger has earned an incredible 87 first place, 37 second place and 13 third place finishes.

Annie Unsell-Berger has competed in four major competitive events this year. She has participated in multiple disciplines awarding her with four first place divisional wins along with two third place wins. Make sure to look for her at the upcoming Cornhusker Classic Steel Challenge Championship being held in Ralston, NE.

Dave Olhasso has had a busy season so far competing in seventeen events. Dave has competed in multiple disciplines and has walked away with fourteen first place, ten second place and three third place divisional wins. Coming up, Dave will compete at the East Coast Steel Challenge, Ruger Live Free or Die IDPA match, IDPA Liberty Valley Forge match and the Maryland State USPSA Championship.

Doug Koenig has hosted two major shooting events this year and has competed in eight matches in between filming for his television show and being Team Ruger Captain. Competing in several different disciplines, Doug has taken home six first place and three third place finishes which included major production victories in the Precision Rifle Series as well as an unprecedented 20th career Bianchi Cup title. Doug's most recent victories were claimed at the NE Regional Action Pistol Match in Chambersburg, PA, where he took first in the open division and first overall. Coming up, you will find Doug at the IPRF 2024 World Championship in Grand Junction, CO and the Green Valley Rifle and Pistol Club Action Pistol Cameron Cup.

Gordon Carrell competed in ten major competitive events this year. He participated in several different disciplines including SASS, USPA and IDPA awarding him with four first place, three second place and one third place finish. When he is not providing training at his GLC Shooting Academy, you can look for him competing at the Ruger Live Free or Die IDPA Championship.

Lauryl Akenhead has kept busy honing her skills in the Precision Rifle Series while competing in ten events year-to-date, including taking home a top spot in the prestigious international Viking Trail PRS match held in Norway. Lauryl's focus has earned her six first place, two second place and one third place victory so far this year. As she continues her quest for success, look for her at the W.A.R. Rifle Shootout in Tremont, PA and the Atlantic Coast PRS Rimfire Finale in Clinton, SC.

Randi Rogers has competed in ten major competitive events this year, participating in several different disciplines including SASS, USPA and IDPA. Randi walked away from these competitions with seven first place and three second place finishes. In the upcoming month, you can find her competing at the Ruger Live Free or Die IDPA Championship.

Trevor Baucom continues his focus on introducing new disabled individuals into the world of shooting sports. For many, time spent with Trevor provides them with renewed confidence and peace of mind knowing they can overcome their disabilities to succeed at anything they choose. In the month ahead, Trevor will play host to the Adaptive Defensive Shooting Summit being held in Epping, NH where the participants will be given multiple days of adaptive training, competition and camaraderie.

Aaron Martin has participated in seven competitive events this year mainly focused on the NRL Hunter discipline. Aaron’s engineering background and years of teaching long-range rifle shooting make him the ideal member to test out the recently introduced Ruger American® Rifle Generation II to the world of precision hunting competition.
