Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR), is proud to announce that Ruger sales representative Mike Gladson has been named Manufacturer's Representative of the Year by SHOT Business Magazine. The award acknowledges Gladson as an accomplished sales representative and an industry leader who has worked hard to preserve and promote America's hunting and shooting heritage. The award was presented at the Bonnier Outdoor Group breakfast meeting held on the opening day of the 2011 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"He brings a unique combination of creativity, hard work and solid business practices to any situation. Mike Gladson has been a Regional Sales Representative for Ruger since 1996, living in the St. Louis area and serving the Midwest region. After graduating from the University of Tulsa in 1979, Mike began his career at Olin Chemical and has also worked in sales and marketing assignments at Olin Winchester and Maurice Sporting Goods. Mike is an avid hunter and outdoorsman with a particular passion for duck hunting, and he enjoys sharing his expertise with new or inexperienced hunters. As an active member of his community, Mike has built houses in North St. Louis with Habitat for Humanity and for the last five years has served on the annual fundraising committee for the Siteman Cancer Research Center of Barnes Jewish Hospital.
