Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR), the nation's largest firearms manufacturer, is proud to announce that at the recently concluded SHOT (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade) Show, two of its new products won major awards.
Sturm, Ruger Chairman and CEO William B. Ruger, Jr., President Stephen L. Sanetti, and Prescott, Arizona Managing Director Robert R. Stutler were presented with Guns & Ammo magazine's "Best Handgun of 2004" award for the new Ruger P345 .45 caliber pistol.
This award is the result of a reader poll conducted by this popular firearms magazine, and shows the great enthusiasm with which this new Ruger pistol has been received not only by firearms writers and experts, but also by actual firearms owners.
Also at the SHOT Show, Sturm, Ruger President Stephen L. Sanetti was presented with Field & Stream magazine's "Best of the Best" award for its new rifles chambered for the exciting new .204 Ruger cartridge. Field & Stream Editor Sid Evans said, "Our team of seven gear experts tested hundreds of products, and this year only 18 made the final cut.
