Ruger Wins National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers' Highest Award

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) was presented with the most prestigious award of the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers, the Chairman's Award for Industry Leadership. This award was presented at the Association's Annual Meeting on November 2, 2005.

This award honors those whose distribution policies fully support the NASGW, and who consistently rise to the challenge of today's market through diversity of product, customer service, delivery, innovation, profitability, and other factors.

In accepting the Association's highest award on behalf of the Company, Sturm, Ruger President Stephen L. Sanetti stated, "Bill Ruger, Sr. founded this Company on two great principles, the manufacture of quality products in the United States of America, and commitment to the sale of these products through a strong two-tiered distribution system. Bill Ruger, Jr. has carried on his leadership, and this award from the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers, representing the oldest American industry, is a very great honor."
