Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR), is pleased to announce the introduction of two special models of Ruger® SP101® revolvers fitted with Crimson Trace® Lasergrips designed to put the shooter on target quickly and more accurately.
The Ruger SP101 revolvers, models KSP-321X and KSP-321XL, feature 2-1/4 inch barrels and fixed sights. The KSP-321XL has a spurless hammer for snag free carry and draw. These five-shot stainless steel revolvers are chambered for .357 Magnum and can also fire .38 Special ammunition, including .38+P cartridges.
The SP101 Crimson Trace Lasergrips are constructed of durable polymer. The red beam laser is activated by a pressure switch located on the front of the grip, making it instinctively usable for right- or left-handed shooters. A master on/off switch is located on the bottom of the grip if one chooses not to activate the laser while shooting. The laser is adjustable for windage and elevation through use of an allen wrench provided.
"The addition of Crimson Trace Lasergrips to our SP-101 revolvers not only helps shooters with their speed and accuracy, but also provide a great training aid," said Sturm, Ruger President, Stephen L. Sanetti. "Lasergrips help develop proper basic handgun skills such as trigger control and sight picture. With the laser dot for a reference, the shooter can practice smooth trigger pulls and see exactly where the gun is aiming at all times and can detect basic marksmanship errors such as jerking the trigger off the target."
Crimson Trace Lasergrips have proven their reliability on revolvers chambered in potent calibers, including the Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan® chambered in the powerful .480 Ruger. Even after hundreds of rounds of this powerful cartridge, the Lasergrip holds true to zero. Crimson Trace is the leading manufacturer of laser sighting systems. Police, all branches of the U.S. Military, and responsible citizens worldwide use patented Lasergrips. Many of the world's top firearm trainers recommend Crimson Trace Lasergrips to help improve shooting skills.
