Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is pleased to announce that Team Ruger members Dave Olhasso and James McGinty each walked away with divisional wins at the 2020 IDPA Arctic Blast Regional Championship held at the Wilkes-Barre Rifle and Pistol Club located in Hunlock Creek, PA. The match consisted of 10 scenario stages held outdoors in the frigid conditions of Northeastern Pennsylvania, testing each competitor’s skill in the snow and gusting winds.
McGinty took top honors in the ESP division with a final time of 138.36 shooting the Ruger Custom Shop® SR1911® Competition chambered in 9mm Luger. His teammate Olhasso won the CDP division with a winning time of 139.14, competing with the Ruger Custom Shop SR1911 Competition chambered in .45 Auto.
"The Arctic Blast IDPA match is always a challenging start to the season," commented McGinty. "Even with the snow coming down and a wind chill around 5 degrees, I was able to come out on top in the ESP division thanks to the reliability and accuracy of my Ruger Custom Shop SR1911."
