Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is pleased to announce that Team Ruger captured multiple divisional wins this past weekend.
Team members Dave Olhasso and James McGinty made a strong showing at the 2020 Ruger USPSA Area 7 Championship held at the Pioneer Sportsmen Club in Dunbarton, NH. Olhasso claimed first place in the Limited 10 division with a final score of 1,281.56 and McGinty took first place in the Single Stack division scoring 1,301.18 points, both shooting the Ruger Custom Shop® SR1911® Competition Pistol.
Additionally, team member Beth Walker claimed High Lady at the Microtech Pro-Am MultiGun Championship held at the Clinton House Plantation in Clinton, SC. She took the title with a final score of 494.96 competing with the Ruger® AR-556® MPR rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO and the Ruger American® Competition Pistol chamber in 9mm Luger.
"The match staff put on a fun and challenging match while working to keep everyone safe in light of COVID-19," commented Olhasso. "Despite the dry and sandy conditions, our Custom Shop SR1911s ran perfectly, which gave James and I the chance to take the Limited 10 and Single Stack division titles."
