Team Ruger Makes a Run with Multiple Division Wins

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is pleased to congratulate Team Ruger members for their division wins this past weekend.

Competing in the Western PA USPSA Sectional in Bulger, PA, team member James McGinty took first place in the Single Stack Division finishing with a final score of 1223.63 competing with his Ruger Custom Shop® SR1911® Competition Pistol in 9mm Luger.

At the IDPA Independence Championship in Hunlock Creek, PA, team members James McGinty and Dave Olhasso both walked away with divisional wins. McGinty took the top spot in the ESP Division and first overall competing with his Ruger Custom Shop® SR1911® Competition Pistol in 9mm Luger with a final time of 135.27. Finishing with a time of 143.54, Olhasso claimed first place in the CDP Division shooting his Ruger Custom Shop® SR1911® Competition Pistol in .45 Auto.

The pair continued their weekend success in West Hampton Beach, NY, where they took multiple divisional wins at the Long Island Steel Shootout. McGinty reeled in first place victories in Open Revolver with a final time of 118.44 and Stock Revolver with a final time of 89.12 shooting his Ruger Custom Shop® Super GP100® Competition Revolver in 9mm Luger. McGinty also claimed first place in the Stock Auto Division with a final time of 97.16 and a third place finish in the Open Auto Division competing with his Custom Shop SR1911® pistol. Olhasso followed through with first place wins in both the Open PCC Division and the Stock PCC Division shooting his Ruger® PC Carbine™ Rifle in 9mm Luger with final times of 82.68 and 100.77, respectively. He also added second place finishes in both the Open Auto Division with a final time of 89.12 and the Stock Auto Division with a final time of 99.97 utilizing his Custom Shop SR1911® pistol.

Team member Annie Unsell, who also serves as the team captain for the Bethel University Wildcats, walked away with several top spots at the Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SSSF/SASP) National Championship held at the Cardinal Shooting Complex in Marengo, OH. Unsell pulled in 1st Collegiate Lady in the Iron Sight Rifle Division with a final time of 36.59 and 1st Collegiate Lady in the Optic Rifle Division with a final time of 36.77 using her Ruger Custom Shop® 10/22® Competition Rifle in .22 LR. Additionally, she captured 1st Collegiate Lady in the PCC Division with a final time 40.36 as well as 1st Collegiate Lady in the Rimfire Pistol Division with a final time of 39.29 using her PC Carbine™ Rifle in 9mm Luger and Mark IV™ Target Pistol in .22 LR, respectively.
