Summer Engineering Internship - (Show Details)

Tasks:
Daily tasks are dependent on Company needs. May have to work with other employees on the manufacturing floor to achieve goals, and view processes.  Interns are responsible for either a manufacturing or process improvement to be determined by a Senior Engineer or Management. Interns will present their improvement in a group setting to all engineers and management at the end of their internship.

Skills:
Optimal candidate will possess the following skills; SolidWorks CAD, technical writing and documentation skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with associates at all levels.

Requirements:
You must have CAD, technical documentation and communication skills. Must be working towards an engineering degree, and you must be continuing classes after the completion of the internship.

Preferred Attributes:
• Currently has a 3.0 GPA or better
• Able work 40 hrs. /week
• An upcoming Junior or Senior, please include graduation year
• Has SolidWorks Experience
• Machine Process Experience
• Manufacturing Experience
• U.S. Citizen

Other:
Prefer a student who can work 40 hours/week for summer break; however a student that can work a minimum of 24 hours/week will be considered.

Schedule:
Internship will start approximately May 2018 and end approximately August 2018, based on Company needs and back to school schedule of the student.

Summer Environmental, Health & Safety Internship - (Show Details)

Skills:
Optimal candidate will possess documentation skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with associates at all levels. Be able to prepare and collect waste water and storm water samples. Assist with preparation of Agency required reports and documentation. Assist with updating environmental procedures and plans. Aid the department in evaluating the environmental aspects and impacts of facility processes. Maintain the SDS database.

Must be working towards an Environmental Engineering degree, an upcoming Junior or Senior and must be continuing classes after the completion of the internship.

Environmental, Health & Safety Manager - (Show Details)

Position Summary:
Performs professional engineering work to:
Protect air, land and water resources to provide a clean and healthful environment.
Eliminate and/or control hazardous conditions resulting from behavioral error, equipment and machine operations which may cause injury.
Work to maintain compliance with all applicable of Environmental, Safety & Health regulations, codes and standards.


Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop applicable programs, policies and procedures as needed to address exposures/hazards to assist in incident prevention and assist in ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Assist in the identification, analysis and control of occupational safety & health hazards.
• Acts as a consulting resource to operations management to advise & recommend prevention and abatement efforts.
• Work to provide a resource for culture change by creating an environment of continuous improvement in safety.
• Performs work to maintain and improve facilities for handling and managing the industrial waste streams.
• Interface with all applicable regulatory agencies to insure up to date compliance.
• Initiate and/or write applicable environmental permits to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local authority mandates.
• Provide guidance and assistance to maintain internal as well as vendor compliance.
• Initiate internal audits of safety and environmental systems and initiate as well as provide advice regarding corrective actions.
• File all mandatory reports to N.H. DES and the US Environmental Protection Agency.
• Facilitate an Associate Joint Safety and Health Committee.
• Serve as an Insurance Carrier interface for Workers' Compensation, Property Protection and General Liability.
• Provide or coordinate activities in the areas of Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics and Fire Protection.


Background and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Safety and Environmental Sciences and a minimum of ten years of safety and environmental engineering experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.


Professional Qualifications:
One or more Professional Certifications as a CSP, PE, CIH or CHMM is desirable.


Personal Qualifications:
The successful candidate must be a high energy, creative, resourceful and organized professional. The ability to manage people and multi-task is a must.
